Background

Peter O. Pojol, a Chinese-Filipino by birth, obtained an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering before joining the Society of Jesus. In the course of his formation, he completed master’s degrees in philosophy and pastoral ministry (Ateneo de Manila University) and the STB (Loyola School of Theology). A couple of years after being ordained priest, he proceeded to Boston, Massachusetts, USA, where he studied with his mentor, James Keenan, SJ, and completed the STL (Weston Jesuit School of Theology) and the STD (Boston College School of Theology and Ministry). For his dissertation, he wrote about the method of Kevin Kelly, focusing on his distinctively pastoral approach to moral theology. He is currently on his first teaching position after returning to Manila from studies.
