Abstract: The quantitative increase of the Catholic faithful in the Philippines has inevitably led to enormous demand for missionary and pastoral apostolates and ministries in a highly fast-paced secularized and globalized environment, appalling religious phenomenon on leadership maintenance mode and irrelevance, and an alarming lay passivity as far as pastoral leadership is concerned. A very urgent need to continuously form effective and integral Church lay leaders must not be addressed complacently. Taking this challenge to heart propelled the inception of this theologico-pastoral study, generating an interdisciplinary leadership formation program framework based on the interface of the theological, sociological, and contextual leadership perspectives. This is in adherence to the exhortation of Pope Francis to have an effective, relevant, and interdisciplinary Church program in response to the challenges of the times.
